Gerald J. Ducharme
GERALD J. DUCHARME was born in Plattsburgh, New York. He graduated from State University of New York at Plattsburgh and received a B.A. in 1977. In 1980 he received his J.D. from Union University. He was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1981, the Massachusetts State Bar in 1994 and the California State Bar in 2002. He is a member of the St. Lawrence County, New York State and American Bar Associations. He joined the firm in 1996 and became a partner in 1998.
Mr. Ducharme has extensive experience representing clients in all phases of domestic relations matters, including divorce, child custody, spousal and child support, and equitable distribution. His responsibilities include legal research, direct client interaction, negotiation, trials, and appellate representation. Mr. Ducharme also represents clients in real estate transactions, and issues dealing with wills, trusts, probate, and estate administration. Mr. Ducharme is experienced in municipal law issues, having served as the Attorney for the Village of Canton, New York since December 1990.
