Peter L. Walton

PETER L. WALTON was born in Watertown, New York. Mr. Walton attended St. Lawrence University, graduating cum laude. Mr. Walton attended law school at George Washington University, graduating with honors in 1992 and was admitted to the New York Bar in 1993. While in law school, Mr. Walton was a member of the George Washington Journal of International Law and Economics, and authored an article for that publication entitled, "Piracy of North Pacific Salmon: Economic Implications and Potential Solutions", V. 25, George Washington Journal of International Law & Economics, 1992.

Since joining the firm in 1992, Mr. Walton has practiced in the firm's litigation group and insurance defense group, and has represented numerous defendants and plaintiffs in personal injury matters, property damage actions, land disputes, and commerical matters. Mr. Walton also has an extensive social security disability practice. He also does general practice work, including real estate, representing both business entities and individuals.

Mr. Walton currently holds the position of Board Chairman of the Samaritan Keep Home, and is a member of the Samaritan Medical Center Board of Trustees. Mr. Walton also serves on the boards of the Henry Keep Home, Centennial Apartments, Community A.L. Corporation, and North Country Historic Village. He is a past board member of the Volunteer Center of Jefferson County, Inc.
