Lawrence D. Hasseler, Managing Partner of the law firm of Conboy, McKay, Bachman & Kendall, LLP recently announced that Lynne Ferris has been promoted to Law Firm Administrator.

Lynne Ferris is a graduate of Mohawk College in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, where she obtained a Recreation Leader diploma. She worked as a coordinator and advocate for clients with the Community Action Planning Council for approximately 10 years before joining the Human Resources Department at Mercy Hospital for approximately one year. Lynne joined the Conboy law firm at a time of restructure for the firm in 1999 as its Director of Human Resources.

Lynne has in fact been leading the Conboy firm as an Administrator for many years. This promotion adjusts her job title to her responsibilities.

Lynne lives with her husband, Todd, and children, Maxwell and Miles.

The Conboy Law Firm is pleased to announce our association with Attorney Jack Scordo, whose retirement from practice was effective March 1, 2010. In that regard, we will be assisting Attorney Scordo's clients in transitioning their files either to the appropriate attorneys here in the Conboy Law Firm or to another attorney of the client's choosing. Attorney Scordo's telephone calls are now being routed to the Conboy Law Firm, and our staff will be happy to assist you with determining how your legal needs will best be served.

In order to maintain the integrity of Attorney Scordo's clients and work, we are currently cataloguing his past and current files, which will be maintained for the appropriate period of time. We are happy to allow Attorney Scordo's clients access to these files upon reasonable notice. The firm is pleased to announce that Kelly G. Coble has been hired as an associate attorney.

Mrs. Coble is from Buffalo, New York. She attended John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio, graduating in 2006 with a B.S. in Economics. In 2009 she received her J.D. from Western New England University in Springfield, Massachusetts. She was admitted to the New York Bar in February 2010.

While in law school, Kelly was a member of the National Moot Court team and Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity. She was also a law clerk at Doherty, Wallace, Pillsbury & Murphy, P.C. in Springfield, Massachusetts. Following law school, Kelly clerked for The Honorable Frank Caruso, New York State Supreme Court Judge and The Honorable William M. Skretny, U.S. District Court Judge, Western District of New York. She was also an associate attorney at Roach, Brown, McCarthy & Gruber, P.C. in Buffalo, New York.

Kelly joined the Conboy firm in November 2011. She is a member of both the Litigation and Domestic Relations Groups.

Attorney Kelly G. Coble Joins Firm

The firm is pleased to welcome our newest associate Victoria (Torie) Hasseler Collins. Torie is from Carthage, New York. Following graduation from Carthage Central High School, she attended SUNY Cobleskill and then SUNY Cortland, graduating summa cum laude in 2003 with a B.A. in Political Science, Environmental Policy Concentration. In 2006 she received her J.D. summa cum laude from Albany Law School, earning a concentration in Estate Planning with high honors. She was admitted to the New York Bar in January 2007 and the Vermont Bar in May 2007. While in law school, Torie was an associate editor of the Albany Law Review, a research assistant to multiple professors, and a law clerk for the New York State Bar Association's Continuing Legal Education Department.

Before joining the Conboy Law Firm, Torie worked as an associate attorney with Weber, Perra & Munzing, P.C. and then Potter Stewart, Jr. Law Offices, P.C., both located in Brattleboro, Vermont. While in southeastern Vermont, Torie served on the Board of Directors of the Brattleboro Area Hospice, on the Board of Trustees for the Brattleboro Music Center, and volunteered with Youth Services' Diversion Program.

Torie joined the Conboy Firm in April 2010. She is a member of both the Business and Estates Practice Groups. Her areas of practice include estate planning, probate and estate administration, social security disability, and real estate.

Attorney Jill F. Spielmann Joins Firm

The firm is pleased to announce that Jill Fadia Spielmann has been hired as an associate attorney.

Mrs. Spielmann is from Rochester, New York. She completed her undergraduate degree at Ithaca College, where she majored in Psychology and minored in Legal Studies. During her undergraduate studies, Mrs. Spielmann participated in a Study Abroad program in London, England, and had the opportunity to volunteer as an intern at the Hammersmith and Fulham Community Law Centre. In December 1999, she graduated early from Ithaca College with a B.A. in Psychology, a minor in Legal Studies, and with Departmental Honors. In 2003, she received her J.D. from the University of Dayton, and was admitted to the Ohio Bar in May 2004. Mrs. Spielmann was admitted to the Southern District of Ohio Bar in December 2004. She was admitted to the New York Bar in February 2012..

Immediately following law school, Mrs. Spielmann practiced in the areas of domestic relations, personal injury, criminal law, and discrimination. However, she ultimately focused her practice in the area of criminal defense. In October 2005, Mrs. Spielmann joined the Law Office of the Montgomery County Public Defender in Ohio, and she has had extensive criminal defense litigation experience in that capacity. While employed at the Law Office of the Montgomery County Public Defender, Jill was a member of the Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

Jill joined the Conboy firm in December 2011. She is a member of both the Litigation and Domestic Relations Groups. She will also practice in the area of criminal defense
