From the initial demand letter to the actual collection of money, attorneys and staff work efficiently on the creditor's behalf to collect amounts owed -- either amicably or through litigation.
  • Bankruptcy: CMB&K provides legal services to individuals who experience financial problems. Where appropriate, we will file Bankruptcy Court proceedings on behalf of clients and represent them throughout the bankruptcy process.   • Construction and Labor Law: CMB&K has a construction law practice with a national reputation. Our construction practitioners represent commercial general and prime contractors, public and private owners and specialty contractors. We are active at the national level in groups such as the Associated General Contractors of America. We are counsel to several regional contractor organizations. Our construction group includes attorneys with skill, experience and training helpful to the unique aspects of construction practice including degrees in engineering, hands-on construction experience and former government contracting counsel. Our depth of experience is applied to all aspects of commercial construction, including contract drafting, labor and employment law, prevailing wage law, and claims prosecution and defense. We have provided services to contractors and on projects throughout the United States, Canada and South America.
  • Environmental Law: The firm provides representation to private clients in a variety of environmental law matters, including those involving federal and state environmental laws and regulations. CMB&K serves as plaintiff's counsel to innocent land owners who are burdened by the environmental excesses of prior land owners, defends businesses and landowners in "Superfund" and SEQRA litigation, and assists clients with environmental and development permits. CMB&K's attorneys provide counseling to banks and real estate purchasers with respect to possible environmental liability problems.
